wooot. 2nd grading will be starting. another heart pumping, nerve raising semester. I think our first lesson is about radiation. MOme made an useful output about that.we had a recitation last time and Im very glad that He did not call me.sweeeet! then we had a test, pretty much easy than his other tests. I'm good in identification than in problem solving, duh! I hate math, that's why I'm planning to take a science course in college.

At this very moment I'm having a hard time cramming! haha.share ko lang. whew!

err.my blog is incomplete.I dont have the fiber optics.actually I didn't even know na we have to post it here.hayyyz.better give some attention to MOME.haha.

Both the human eye and a camera use something called a lens. In fact, they both use the same type of lens - a converging lens. Converging lenses are like the ones in magnifying glasses - they work to make an image look bigger. This is why you can see the details in something even if it’s on the other side of the room. One thing about lenses is that they can only focus on things that are the same distance away from them. This is why your eyes can focus on things that are close to you or far from you; just not at the same time. Cameras are the same way - you can only focus them on things that are the same distance away.

In the camera, the lens focuses the light onto a piece of film. The film has chemicals in it that basically trap the image on it, making it permanent. Instead of film, your eye uses something called a ’retina.’ The retina has lots of little tiny things called ’rods’ and ’cones’ all over it. These are basically tiny antennae that tell your brain about the light that hits them. The rods tell your brain if there’s light in a certain spot or not (a bit like a black and white photo) and the cones tell your brain what color the light is.

There is one spot on the retina, though, that has no antennae at all. This is the spot where the nerve leaves your eye to go to your brain. At this spot, you can’t see anything at all - it’s called your ’blind spot.’ This is one of the reasons that you have two eyes; what you can’t see with one eye you can see with the other. Unlike your eyes, cameras have no blind spot, so they only need to have one lens.

CONVERGING LENS.

  • Any incident ray traveling parallel to the principal axis of a converging lens will refract through the lens and travel through the focal point on the opposite side of the lens.
  • Any incident ray traveling through the focal point on the way to the lens will refract through the lens and travel parallel to the principal axis.
  • An incident ray which passes through the center of the lens will in effect continue in the same direction that it had when it entered the lens.
  • [copied from:http://www.glenbrook.k12.il.us/GBSSCI/PHYS/CLASS/refrn/u14l5da.html
steps.

1..draw/choose a point on top of the object and draw 3 incident rays traveling to the lens. The first ray should be perpendicular to the lens, then draw the refracted ray that passes through the focal point. The 2nd ray should be drawn passing through the focal point, then the refracted ray should be parallel to the principal axis. . Draw the third incident ray such that it travels directly to the exact center of the lens.

2. Get the intersection of the refracted mark the image.

diverging lens. *

  • Any incident ray traveling parallel to the principal axis of a diverging lens will refract through the lens and travel in line with the focal point (i.e., in a direction such that its extension will pass through the focal point).
  • Any incident ray traveling towards the focal point on the way to the lens will refract through the lens and travel parallel to the principal axis.
  • An incident ray which passes through the center of the lens will in effect continue in the same direction that it had when it entered the lens.

graphical method*oh come on!*

1.analyze the problem and decide the scale you'll be using, make sure that your scale will be easy enough for you to convert if needed.

2. draw the first vector make sure to be accurate as possible.

3.when drawing your second vector, put its tale right after the head of the first vector and so on.

4.in getting the resultant vector connect the last vector ro the point of origin, then measure it using the scale.

component method

1. given the vector, find its x and y x component by using SOHCAHTOA..when it has direction we have to determine whether its positive(up and right) of negative (left or down)

2.after that we have to get the resultant x ny adding up the x components and so on with the resultant Y.

3.then we can now compute for the resultant vector by the use of Pythagorean theorem or simply getting the sQuare root of the sum of the sQuared vectors.*whew!*

4. after getting the resultant vector we should get the angle of the resultant vector to know whether it is positive or in the negative side.By using the tan formula you can easily get the measure of the angle*use your sci calc*.

oh come on! I'm improving!! wooohh!! wth! o to 4!! huwaaat!!!! haha.. dont worry guys, after i receive my test results I'll post it here..^_^

imagine..0/10...then,4/30.. when our long test comes, maybe i'll get 8/50..good luck! haha..

just kidding..of course I'll study..I'm not a happy-go-lucky person, maybe sometimes but i'll just study nlang..I'm having a hard time to edit this blog..damn it! haha..ooppss..

till here,I'm hungry...arghhh...
